What do you get with a free subscription or a paid one?

StreetScan is free to use for everyone. You can view the map and basic features anytime from any place that has access to the Internet. There are 2 kinds of subscriptions: Free and Paid. The free version allows you to sign-up and receive notifications of incidents via e-mail for a single address. The Paid subscription costs $14.95 per year and allows up to 3 addresses, choice of SMS text/email notifications as well as other enhanced features listed below. At the end of the paid year you will have the option of renewing—and keep those paid account features—or downgrade to a free account. The below outlines what the distinction is between the two subscription levels.

What a free account offers

If you don't have a paid subscription with StreetScan, you'll be able to:

• Go to StreetScan website and view the crime map for the current and past day.
• View Crime Details and submit Crime Tips.
• Free Sign-up to receive Crime Alerts with basic information about the incident.
• Cost: Free

What a paid account offers

With a paid subscription, you get all of the above, plus:

• Up to three (3) addresses to monitor and receive Crime Alerts view text or e-mail. The notifications contain detailed information about the incident directly on your computer or mobile device.
• The ability to view historical incidents for further crime analysis.
• A larger scalable map to view, without any ads or other banners.
• The ability to view incidents in a certain radius on your choosing.
• The ability to turn on/off features to customize your map.
• Cost: StreetScan Annual Membership costs $14.95; that's $1.25 per month

What happens if you stop subscribing to StreetScan
after your annual subscription?

If you decide not to renew your subscription, the following happens:

• Your account will be downgraded to the free version and revert to the Free Account features.
• You'll stop having access to local neighborhood content and historical search capabilities.
